The Douglas County Task Force on Family Violence is committed to eradicating domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence in our community.
The DCTF is a non-profit community service and offers free victim services.
Douglasville Community Outreach
We offer the following Community Mission Programs: Adopt a family programs to assist those in crisis, food and clothing mission for disaster relief, International tours for Christian Fellowship, Customized training programs for adults and youth, including but not limited to, Parenting Skills Workshops, Business Leader Symposiums, Field Trips, etc., and Back to School Festivals, Performing and Visual Arts Programming, Academic Enrichment and Child Development Tutorials

Loving Hands Ministry
Loving Hands is a local donation center that serves Douglas County. They help those who qualify for assistance and help with items needed. They can use gently worn clothing, (especially children’s), dishes, any household items, furniture, and even vehicles that are in good condition.

Salvation Army

SHARE House
S.H.A.R.E. House provides an array of services for victims of domestic violence. Helping victims of domestic violence with: developing a safety plan, obtaining safe shelter, filing for a Temporary Protective Order (TPO), and other services as appropriate to each individual situation.

The Pantry
The Pantry is a community food ministry open every Saturday from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. to provide free canned goods and other food items to local families in need.

United Way of Douglas County
United Way exists for one reason – to help us come together as one community to identify and address the issues that affect all of us. Those issues, like making sure children start school ready to learn and helping families become self-sufficient, cross lines of race, gender, geography and faith, and can only be addressed with collective focus and action.

West Georgia Elves, Inc.
The West Georgia Elves is an organization of volunteers from throughout the West Georgia area. Along with support from the local business community, we are committed to serving families of children with serious illnesses. While providing Christmas gifts to these children and their siblings is our main focus, we provide support to these families throughout the entire year.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization and all donations and sponsorships are tax-deductible to the extent of the law. 100% of all donations go to a family in need.
